3 Yearly Motor Bearing Inspection
Preparation
Ensure motor is powered off and locked out
Gather necessary tools and materials, including compatible grease
Inspection and Maintenance
Inspect motor bearings for signs of wear or damage
Are the bearings in severe application conditions?
If severe conditions are present, perform the following:

Does the motor have provisions for relubrication?
1 Weekly Fan Bearing Relubrication
Preparation
Is the fan in operation during lubrication?
Ensure the grease gun is ready and filled with NLGI #2 consistency grease
Lubrication Process
Record the current temperature of the fan bearings (°F)
Enter the number of grease injections used
Did a slight bead form around the bearing seals?
Check for excessive grease around the bearing seals

Inspect the fan for any signs of corrosion or contamination

6 Monthly Fan Bearing Relubrication
Preparation
Ensure fan is operational before starting lubrication
Verify that the grease used is a petroleum lubricant in a lithium base conforming to an NLGI #2 consistency

Enter the fan speed in RPM
Select the temperature range
Is the bearing visible during lubrication?
