Lubrication During Operation
Lubricate the load chain with penetrating gear lubricant oil during operation with no load.
Subsequent Lubrication
Clean the links of the load chain before subsequent lubrication.
Select the type of dry-film lubricant to use when ambient influences are conducive to wear
Frequency and Conditions
Describe the frequency of use and operating conditions affecting lubrication needs.
1 Yearly Clutch Maintenance
Adjustment of the Sliding Clutch
Ensure only a trained or competent person performs the adjustment
Apply the test load (1.1 times the nominal/rated load) onto the load hook or clutch testing device
Switch on the chain hoist and check if the test load can be lifted or if the clutch testing device shows approximately 1.3 times the nominal load
Lower the test load to the floor
Adjust clutch torque until the test load is just lifted or the clutch testing device shows the required value
Verify that the sliding clutch is set with the test load by the manufacturer
Ensure no reset of the clutch is needed after changing or replacing the lift motor
Check the original distance between the end of the tension rod and the pressure plate of the coupling marked on a tag on the brake coil
Load Hook Maintenance
Checking for Wear
Inspect hooks for deformation and cracks
Measure punch spacing on hooks
Is the chain sprocket in the hook block worn by about 1 mm?
Are all rubber buffers worn?
Measuring Wear and Replacing Load Hook
Measure length between chisel punch marks (dimension Y)
Check permissible values on hook certificate in inspection book
Check condition of load hook components
