Verify installation of backup indicators

Ensure steering will not exceed VDO sender mechanical limits

Move steering to full starboard position

Move steering to full port position

Check that Sender mounting screws [A] are centrally positioned in their slots

Set Link Rod [X] and sender arm [Y] to nominal dimensions as per assembly drawing

Have the MECS modules been exposed to salt spray?

Rinse the modules with clean fresh water

Check the condition of the following

Lubricate O-Ring Seals with silicone grease

Ensure control modules are firmly bolted to the console

Check that the mounting gaskets are sealing correctly

Inspect all feedback sensors for issues

Is there a suspected fault with any sensor?

Replace the sensor if a fault is suspected

Filler/Breather Removal and Inspection

Remove the Filler/Breather from the JHPU Reservoir

Inspect the Filler/Breather for damage

Rinse the Filler/Breather in white spirits

Does the Filler/Breather need replacement due to damage?

Has the Filler/Breather been in use for 5000 operating hours or more?

Has it been a year since the last replacement?

Inspect hoses for the following issues

Is reconditioning or repair necessary?

Describe the reconditioning or repair actions taken
