Centre the Steering so that the Jet Nozzle is in the Dead Ahead position

Disconnect one of the wires from the sender terminal

Measure the resistance across the Terminals

Is the resistance at the dead ahead position within 88±2Ω?

Is the indicator showing dead ahead?

Visual Inspection of Feedback Sensors

Inspect all feedback sensors for the following issues

Is there any loose or damaged connection?

Replace the sensor if a fault is suspected

Ensure all connectors and earth bonding wires are securely connected

Verify all cables are attached to a fixed object near the connectors

Spray the outside of all connectors with electrical grade silicone moisture repellent

Filler/Breather Removal and Cleaning

Remove the Filler/Breather from the JHPU Reservoir

Rinse the Filler/Breather in white spirits

Does the Filler/Breather look damaged?

Replace the Filler/Breather if it looks damaged

Has the Filler/Breather been in use for 5000 operating hours or one year?

Replace the Filler/Breather if it has been in use for 5000 operating hours or one year

Have the MECS modules been exposed to salt spray?

Rinse the modules with clean fresh water

Check the condition of the O-Ring Seals

Lubricate O-Ring Seals with silicone grease

Ensure control modules are firmly bolted to the console

Check that the mounting gaskets are sealing correctly
