Check the oil level on the JHPU Filler Cap/dipstick.

Is it necessary to top up the oil?

Top up with the correct grade oil if necessary.

Visually inspect the condition of the oil.

Is the oil discoloured, contaminated, or does it smell unusual?

Inspect the belts for any signs of damage

Is there any sign of deterioration on the belts?

Are the V-Belts excessively hot to touch?

Describe any issues found with the V-Belt tension or condition

Were any belts replaced due to deterioration?

Was the V-Belt tension adjusted?

Visual Inspection of System Hoses

Inspect hoses for the following issues

Is there any wear or chafing on the hoses?

Are there any leaks in hoses or connections?

Are there any loose hydraulic connections?

Is reconditioning or repair necessary?

Describe the reconditioning or repair actions taken

Switch the Normal/Backup selector switch to Backup mode on the Control Panel Module or Jet Control Module.

Is the vessel operating in Backup mode?

Is the vessel satisfactorily controlled in Backup mode?

Is the helmsman familiar with Backup operation?

Has any Normal Control fault been identified?

Describe any identified Normal Control faults.

Visual Inspection of Feedback Sensors

Inspect all feedback sensors for the following issues

Is there any loose or damaged connection found?

Replace the sensor if a fault is suspected
