Ensure pump is shut down before lubrication

Is the pump running at 3450 rpm?

Remove relief from back of ball bearing housing

Fill with grease until fresh grease flows from opening

Is an automatic lubrication system being used?

Place reliefs in the tapped hole (1/8" N.P.T.) if automatic lubrication system is used

Ensure bearings do not run over 225°F

MAINTENANCE — Coupling Alignment

Check coupling alignment at specified intervals

Ensure motor screws are snug to allow slight force for movement during alignment.

Recheck both parallel and angular alignment after any adjustment.

Adjust Lateral Parallel Misalignment

Adjust Horizontal Parallel Misalignment

Ensure pump is shut down before lubrication

Verify that grease types are not mixed

Was the initial fill grease purged if using a different grease?

Ensure bearings do not exceed 225°F

Remove relief from back of ball bearing housing

MAINTENANCE — Lubrication / START UP

Check ball bearing temperature using a pyrometer

Is the ball bearing temperature below 225°F?

Note if bearings seem to run tight and hot upon initial startup

Confirm if the pump operates normally after approximately 150 hours of service

Note the location of the pressure gauge in relation to the liquid level

Verify if the mounting plate height is at least 1" above the highest possible liquid level

Check if the liquid level is at least 2" above the point at which the shaft exits the top of the pump end

Test shaft rotation for clockwise direction
