Inspect fan for moisture or dirt accumulations

Was moisture or dirt found on parts?

Is there any paint deterioration?

Consider touch-up or repainting if paint deterioration begins

Check for rust on machined parts

Restore machined parts to good condition if rust is found

Check for wear, tension, alignment, and dirt accumulation on V-belt drives

Are the sheaves free from grooves or wear?

Are all belts being replaced on multiple groove drives?

Loosen belt tension before removing belts

Ensure slack in each belt is on the same side of the drive after replacement

Measure belt deflection halfway between sheave centers (in inches)

Ensure all fans are operational

Was each fan run to reach operating temperature?

Was each fan bumped if not run fully?

Check fan RPM when adjusting operating frequency

Consult manufacturer before changing fan operating conditions

Describe any issues encountered during operation

Verify all items are accounted for

Inspect each crate or carton for shipping damage

Alert the carrier of any detected damage

Make a notation of damage or shortage on the delivery receipt and bill of lading

Was the bill of lading countersigned by the delivering carrier?

Contact sales representative if damage is detected

Record any physical damage to the unit after acceptance

Disconnect the electrical supply

Remove any dirt accumulation on the wheel or in the housing

Inspect fan impeller and housing for fatigue, corrosion, or wear
