Electrical Components Inspection

Inspect electrical control components

Measure voltage across electrical components

Measure current using an ammeter

Measure resistance using an ohmmeter

Measure power consumption using a wattmeter

Mechanical Components Inspection

Inspect mechanical control components

Check for mechanical wear and tear

Inspect and clean coils and base pan

Clean coils and base pan with a soft brush and compressed air or vacuum

Use a pressure washer carefully to avoid bending the aluminum fin pack

Cover all electrical components to protect them from water or spray

Allow the unit to dry thoroughly

Inspect all gasket material for deterioration

Replace deteriorated gasket material as necessary
