Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Replace the grease of each axis reducer and gearbox every 3 years or 11520 hours, whichever comes first.

Use Kyodo yushi VIGOGREASE RE0 Spec.: A98L-0040-0174 at 0.15MPa

When a manual pump is used for greasing, the standard rate is two pumping cycles per three seconds

Hot grease might eject suddenly when you open the grease outlet. Use appropriate protective equipment.

For grease replacement or replenishment, use the postures indicated below

In a high-duty environment where, for example, a cooling unit (fan) is used, grease must be replaced every half the specified standard period

Failure to follow proper greasing procedures may cause a sudden increase of the grease bath internal pressure and damage to the seal.

Be careful not to confuse the grease inlet of the J4-axis reducer with the grease inlet of the wrist link bearing.

Supply grease to the J3 arm connection part bearing

Grease supplied to the machine at the specified timing?

Adjust the greasing timing if your robot is installed in an adverse environment

Was water splashed on the robot?

If yes, supply grease immediately

Seal bolt removed before greasing?

If the seal bolt is reused, be sure to seal it with seal tape

Supply grease to the J3 base connection part bearing

Grease supplied at the specified timing?

Is the robot installed in an adverse environment?

If yes, adjust the greasing timing and supply grease immediately if water is splashed on the robot

Seal bolt removed before greasing?

Seal bolt sealed with seal tape if reused?

Recommended grease: SHELL ALVANIA GREASE S2

Enter the amount of grease used (in ml)

Enter the cumulative operation time of the machine

Is the robot installed in an adverse environment?

Has water been splashed on the robot?

If water has been splashed on the robot, supply grease immediately

Seal bolt removed before greasing?

Seal bolt sealed with seal tape after greasing?

Note: After grease is supplied, old grease is pushed out from the bearing's rotating section. Wipe off the old grease immediately after greasing and, as required, after operations of 50 to 100 hours.
