1000 Hourly / 1 Yearly Hydraulic Fluid Replacement
Warning: Always replace the hydraulic / hydrostatic filter and the hydraulic charge filter whenever the hydraulic fluid is replaced.
Stop the engine, open the rear door, and remove the rear grille.
Hydraulic fill cap removed
Right side access cover bolts and access cover removed
Note: The hose used to drain the hydraulic reservoir is located on the right side of the fan motor
Clamp removed, hose pinched off near the fitting and disconnected from the fitting
Hose connected to the fitting when the fluid stops draining. Clamp installed
Recycle or dispose of used fluid in an environmentally safe manner
Warning: Always clean up spilled fuel or oil. Keep heat, flames, sparks or lighted tobacco away from fuel and oil
1000 Hourly / 1 Yearly Hydraulic / Hydrostatic Filter Replacement
Stop the engine, open the rear door, and remove the rear grille.
Clean the top of the filter housing
Loosen the bolts and rotate the filter cap counterclockwise until the cap clears the bolts
Slowly pry the filter cap off the housing by hand
Remove the filter and discard
Lubricate the O-ring on new filter with clean oil
Install new filter ensuring that filter is fully seated in the housing
Remove the filter cap O-rings and discard
Install new filter cap O-rings and lubricate with clean oil
100 Hourly Battery Maintenance
Warning: Batteries contain acid which burns eyes and skin on contact. Wear goggles, protective clothing and rubber gloves to keep acid off body. In case of acid contact, wash immediately with water. In case of eye contact get prompt medical attention and wash eye with clean, cool water for at least 15 minutes. If electrolyte is taken internally drink large quantities of water or milk! DO NOT induce vomiting. Get prompt medical attention.
Check cables and connections of battery
Battery posts and terminals clean
Terminals tight
Corrosion removed from battery and terminals with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and water solution
Bobcat Battery Saver or grease on the battery terminals and cable ends to prevent corrosion
Machine operated for at least 15 minutes to recover from the battery drain caused by engine start up whenever practical
Battery charge level maintained
Severely discharged battery charged with a battery charger instead of relying on the machine charging system
100 Hourly Engine Oil & Filter Replacement
Operate the engine until coolant reaches normal operating temperature. Stop the engine
Loosen one cover mounting bolt and remove the other bolt (Item 2) [Figure 220] to allow the cover to swing open
Open the rear door
Remove the oil drain cap (Item 1) [Figure 222] from the oil drain hose and drain the oil into a container. Recycle or dispose of used oil in an environmentally safe manner
Install and tighten the oil drain cap [Figure 222)
Return the oil drain hose to the storage location on top of the fuel tank [Figure 221]
Install the cover and the cover mounting bolts [Figure 220]. Tighten both bolts
Remove the oil filter (Item 3) [Figure 223] and clean the filter base
Put clean oil on the new filter gasket, install the new filter, and hand tighten. Use genuine Bobcat filter only
10 Hourly / 1 Daily AC Filters Maintenance
- Clean or replace Heater and Air Conditioning filters as needed (Before Starting The Loader)
This machine may be equipped with a cab heater or HVAC system
Fresh Air Filters
1. The fresh air filters are located behind the side windows outside the operator cab. (Right side shown.) Remove the retaining screw (Item 3) and the filter cover (Item 2) [Figure 199]. (Lift arms shown raised for visual clarity.)
2. NOTE: Loosen the upper filter cover bolt (Item 1) [Figure 199] to allow removal and installation of the cover if equipped with the High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter kit
3. Shake the filter (Item 4) [Figure 199] or use low pressure air to remove dirt. This procedure can be done several times before replacement is required. Install the filter, the filter cover, and the retaining screw
Recirculation Filter:
1. The recirculation filter is located behind the operator’s seat inside the operator cab. The filter cover is held in position with three clips. Pull the cover at each end (Item 1) [Figure 200] to remove
2. Rinse the filter with water or use a vacuum cleaner to clean. Do not use solvents
