Plug the UPS into a power outlet for 48 hours to charge the batteries

Press any button to activate the menu option

Select CONTROL then START BATTERY TEST

Is the UPS in Normal mode with no active alarms, and the bypass voltage acceptable?

During the battery test, the UPS transfers to Battery mode and discharges the batteries for 25 seconds

Did the front panel display “Battery test running” and the percentage of the test completed?

Remove the front cover of each EBM

Unplug the EBM cable from the UPS

Install the supplied mounting brackets on the new EBM(s)

Remove the front cover of each new EBM

Remove the EBM cable knockout on the top of the cover

Plug the new EBM(s) into the UPS

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure

Is the UPS connected to utility power?

Enter the battery recharge date from the shipping carton label

Sign off on the battery service
