Changing Drive Roll Or Wire Inlet Guide

Thumbscrew loosened and tip slid close to drive rolls

Tension set between 1-1/2 to 2 for flux core wire with VK groove

Flux Core Wire stickout is 1/2 in. (12.7 mm) from gun tip

Solid Wire stickout is 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) from gun tip

Sign off on the handler maintenance

Turn Off welding power source/wire feeder and disconnect gun

Remove screws and nuts. Remove screw on opposite side.

Remove switch housing. Install new switch and connect leads (polarity is not important). Reassemble in reverse order. If replacing head tube, continue to end of figure

Loosen jam nut. Remove from vice and turn head tube out by hand

Hand-tighten head tube into cable connector

Place head tube in vice and tighten until nuts are tight

Remove from vice. Reposition handle halves, and install switch housing

Sign off on the handler maintenance

Warning: Ensure the machine is turned off and disconnected from power source before starting the procedure

Nozzle, contact tip, and adapter removed

Wire cut off and gun disconnected from feeder

Gun reassembled in reverse order

Sign off on the parts replacement
