1 Weekly Dust Collector Inspection
Warning: This inspection requires trained personnel with PPE!
Open valve at the bottom of the moisture separator bowl and allow collected water to drain off, then close valve.
Check the pressure drop across the filter by viewing the display on the front panel of the controller.
If pressure drop is excessive, refer to Table 1.
Record all pressure checks in a log book.

1 Yearly Dust Collector Maintenance
Remove and clean moisture separator filter element
Remove drain plug and air inlet connections from the compressed air manifold
Describe any accumulated sludge found
Remove a diaphragm valve for internal inspection purposes
Check all flameproof enclosures, motors, and cable glands for corrosion and tightness
Check collector earthing continuity
Check that measures taken to avoid ignition sources are still in place
Open the clean air chamber access cover and inspect the fan
Describe any residual dust accumulation found
6 Monthly Dust Collector Maintenance
Check general casing integrity and support structure
Describe any repairs or replacements made
Enter the fan assembly vibration level
Warning: Vibration monitoring is mandatory on category 2G, 3G, and 2D fan assemblies.
Is the vibration level in line with category BV-3, ISO 14694?
Record of measured values
Were there any excessive vibration levels?
Describe the investigation and correction of excessive vibration levels

1 Monthly Dust Collector Maintenance
1. Check dust seals on all access panels for damage or ageing and ensure they are properly seated to prevent entry of water. This is particularly important where the collector is located outside or in a wet atmosphere.
Note: Faulty seals must be replaced.
2. Check operation of solenoid and diaphragm valves. If it is found necessary to replace a diaphragm, refer to Valve Disassembly/Reassembly.
Warning: It may be necessary to check operation of the valves while the system is pressurised. Care should be taken to avoid injury.
Every two months check connected ducting. Repair any leaks as necessary.;
2 Yearly Dust Collector Maintenance
Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!
