Gently unscrew the filter from the probe

Was the filter rinsed under warm water until clean?

Was warm soapy water used for cleaning if necessary?

Gently replace the filter by screwing it back into the probe

Did the filter screw all the way into the probe?

Fill the system at the city water makeup connection with all air vents open

Close all air vents after filling

Start main circulator with pressure reducing valve open

Check and repair any leaks in the piping

Open drains at the lowest point(s) for initial flush and blowdown

Check the pressure gauge at pump suction

Ensure motors are permanently lubricated and require no oiling

Record water pressure drop (heating)

Record water pressure drop (cooling)

Ensure the following equipment is ready

Is the R-410A being charged as a liquid?

Is the valve installed in the charging line to flash the liquid to vapor?

Enter the superheat value (degrees)

Is the superheat value between 8 to 14 degrees?

Check filters at 60-day intervals

Can light be seen through the filter when held up to sunlight or a bright light?

Is filter replacement necessary based on light visibility?

Replace the filter if necessary

Describe any issues encountered during the inspection

Is a more critical standard for filter inspection desirable?
