Warning: Be sure to wait 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.

Hexagon head set screw on the fan rotor loosened

Screw on the left side panel removed

Hook from the backward disengaged

Fan bearing pushed off from the inside

Base, stand and other fittings of the outdoor unit are not decayed or corroded

Nothing blocks the air inlets and the outlets of the indoor unit and the outdoor unit

Earth wire is not disconnected or broken

Drain comes smoothly out of the drain hose during COOL or DRY operation

Is there any water leakage from the indoor unit?

If water leakage is observed, stop operation and consult the service shop

Sign off on the air conditioner check

1. Operate the “fan only” for several hours on a fine day to dry out the inside.

• Press “MODE” button and select “fan”operation.

• Press “ON/OFF” button and start operation.

2. Clean the air filters and set them again.

3. Take out batteries from the remote controller.

4. Turn OFF the breaker for the room air conditioner.

• When a multi outdoor unit is connected, make sure the heating operation is not used at the other room before you use the fan operation. (page 22)

Warning: The charge section is applied with high voltage. Exercise caution during measurement to prevent electric shock.

Did you operate the unit for several minutes?

Did you shut down the operation by force using the circuit breaker?

Note: If the unit is shut down using the remote controller instead of the circuit breaker, the capacitor discharges the electric load, thus disallowing accurate measurement.

Take measurements at the power transistor (+) and (-) terminals in the same way as described in section 1.

Is the multi-tester set to DC and VOLTAGE RANGE before measurement?

Enter the measured voltage at the power transistor (+) terminal.

Enter the measured voltage at the power transistor (-) terminal.

Sign off on the capacitor voltage check

Warning: Always replace batteries with the same type and replace both at the same time.

If the system is not in use for a long period, remove the batteries.

Recommended to replace batteries once a year.

If the remote controller display begins to fade or reception deteriorates, replace with new alkali batteries.

Using manganese batteries reduces the lifespan.

The attached batteries are for initial use only.

The usable period of the batteries may be short depending on the manufactured date of the air conditioner.
