Heater Contactor Replacement

Power Disconnection and Safety

Disconnect the main power

Lockout the main power

Access Electrical Enclosure

Open the electrical enclosure door

Turn the screw on the front panel counterclockwise to open

Contactor Removal

Disconnect the wires from the heater contactor

Label the wires for correct reconnection

Run this procedure

Pump Overload Replacement

Disconnect and lockout the main power

Open the electrical enclosure door

Turn the screw on the front panel counterclockwise to open

Locate the pump overload module attached to the pump motor starter

Disconnect the three power leads from the overload module to the pump motor

Note the placement of each lead and label as needed

Disconnect auxiliary wiring on the overload module

Remove the overload module

Thermocouple Replacement

Preparation

Disconnect and lockout the main power

Shut off the cooling water infeed and drain the unit

Draining Water

Drain all water using the drain plugs located at the bottom of the unit

Accessing the Thermocouple

Remove the unit’s top panel

Open the electrical enclosure

Removing the Old Thermocouple

Run this procedure

1 Yearly Temperature Sensors Calibration

Preparation

Enable Test Mode

Press any button to display the first test menu

Calibration Process

Select the Calibration Mode menu

Release the Setpoint key

Using the thermocouple calibrator, apply the appropriate temperature to the control input

Press the up ▲ key to begin calibrating

Wait until the control displays

3 Monthly Unit Inspection

Inspection of Power Cords, Wires, and Electrical Connections

Inspect power cords, wires, and electrical connections for issues

Check exterior power cords

Check the ground wire and thermocouple connections

Replace any wire that appears damaged or has worn or cracked insulation
