Knife Guard Hardware Inspection

Inspect the hardware on the knife guard

Bushing Holder Proximity Switches

Inspect the proximity switch set screws

Adjust proximity switch set screws as needed

Clean the clear blade guard window using glass cleaner or plain water

Blade Lubrication Tray Maintenance

Clean the blade lubrication tray

Is the blade lubrication tray clean?

Lubricate shafts on slide rail system

Are the shafts on the slide rail system properly lubricated?

Shafts and Grease Fittings Check

Check the following components for proper lubrication

Are all shafts and grease fittings properly lubricated?

Apply regular grease to the following locations

Apply Never-Seize or equivalent to the following locations

Apply Mobilgrease 28 or equivalent to the following locations

Was the correct type of grease used for each location?

Describe any issues encountered during the grease application

Is the cutter power locked out and cutter head stopped completely?

Carefully remove the cutter blade

Check that the following are free of paint, grease, oil, and dirt

Clean surfaces with non-petroleum based solvent if necessary

Turn the rotary disconnect to the OFF position

Remove the upper and lower belt guards

Release belt tension by loosening the threaded rods

Remove the belt from the puller

Check the rollers and pulleys for buildup, especially inside grooves

Clean rollers and pulleys if necessary
