Two-Position Damper Hood Replacement
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Hood shipped in knock-down form and assembled to a metal support tray using plastic stretch wrap?
Assembly’s metal tray attached to the basepan and also attached to the damper using two plastic tie-wraps?
Filter access panel removed to gain access to the hood?
Two screws holding the metal tray to the basepan located and removed?
Panel underneath the two-position damper removed if necessary to remove the screws?
Two plastic tie-wraps securing the assembly to the damper located and cut?
Hood assembly (with metal tray) carefully lifted through the filter access opening and assembled per the steps outlined in Economizer Hood and Two-Position Hood on page 12?
Panel under the damper reattached if removed?
Economizer Hood Replacement
Warning: Be careful not to damage any wiring during the procedure.
Hood located in the return air compartment?

Filter access panel removed?
Upload a photo of the two plastic tie-wraps before cutting
Two plastic tie-wraps located and cut without damaging any wiring?

The HACR Shaft and Handle Replacement
Remove the unit front panel
Remove three hex screws on the HACR enclosure
Remove the front cover of the HACR enclosure
Is the HACR at OFF position?
Insert the shaft all the way with the cross pin on the top of the shaft in the horizontal position
Tighten the locking screw to secure the shaft to the HACR
Turn the handle to the OFF position with red arrow pointing at OFF
Install the handle on to the painted cover horizontally with the red arrow pointing to the left
Secure the handle to the painted cover with two screws and lock washers supplied
Curb-Mounted Replacement
Install curb
Install field-fabricated ductwork inside curb
Install accessory thru-base service connection package
Prepare bottom condensate drain connection to suit planned condensate line routing
Rig and place unit
Install outdoor air hood
Install condensate line trap and piping
Make electrical connections
Install other accessories
The NFD Shaft and Handle Replacement
Remove the unit front panel
Remove three hex screws on the NFD enclosure
Remove the front cover of the NFD enclosure
Ensure the NFD is at OFF position
Insert the shaft with the cross pin on the top of the shaft in the horizontal position
Measure the tip of the shaft to the top surface of the pointer
Tighten the locking screw to secure the shaft to the NFD
Turn the handle to the OFF position with red arrow pointing at OFF
Install the handle on to the painted cover horizontally with the red arrow pointing to the left
