MCHX Condenser Coil Maintenance
CAUTION: Do not apply any chemical cleaners to MCHX condenser coils. These cleaners can accelerate corrosion and damage the coil.
Removal of any foreign objects or debris attached to the coil face or trapped within the mounting frame and brackets.
Proper personal protective equipment worn, including safety glasses and/or face shield, waterproof clothing and gloves. Full coverage clothing is recommended.
High pressure water sprayer started and any soap or industrial cleaners purged from sprayer before cleaning condenser coils. Only clean potable water is authorized for cleaning condenser coils.
Condenser face cleaned by spraying the coil steady and uniformly from top to bottom while directing the spray straight toward the coil. Pressure did not exceed 900 psig (6205 kPa) or 30 degree angle. The nozzle was at least 12 in. (304.8 mm) from the coil face. Pressure was reduced and caution used to prevent damage to air centers.

Check accuracy of transducers; replace if greater than ±5 psi (34.47 kPa) variance.
Check to be sure that the proper concentration of antifreeze is present in the chilled water loop, if applicable.
Verify that the chilled water loop is properly treated.
Check refrigerant filter driers for excessive pressure drop; replace as necessary.
Check chilled water strainers, clean as necessary.
Check cooler heater operation.
RTPF Condenser Coil Maintenance
RTPF Condenser Coil Maintenance and Cleaning Recommendations
Removing Surface Loaded Fibers
Note: Use of a water stream, such as a garden hose, against a surface loaded coil will drive the fibers and dirt into the coil. This will make cleaning efforts more difficult. Surface loaded fibers must be completely removed prior to using low velocity clean water rinse.
Periodic Clean Water Rinse
Routine Cleaning for RTPF Coil Surface
Caution: Harsh chemicals, household bleach or acid or basic cleaners should not be used to clean outdoor or indoor coils of any kind.
Caution: High velocity water from a pressure washer, garden hose, or compressed air should never be used to clean a coil.
Totaline Environmentally Sound Coil Cleaner Application Instructions
Proper eye protection such as safety glasses is used during mixing and application.
