Safety Precautions
Disconnect all electrical power before removing covers of either position or thrust switch compartments.
Ensure service personnel are licensed/trained and authorized.
Disassembly Steps
Remove compartment covers
Disconnect and mark leads on gear position and thrust limit switches.
Remove pipe plug (23) to vent air into housing.
Remove geared position limit switch assembly by rotating clockwise approximately 90° and pulling up.
Remove o-ring (55) and thrust switch assembly.

Disassembly Steps
Remove compartment covers
Disconnect and mark leads on the geared position limit switch and thrust switch.
Remove pipe plug (23) to allow vent air into the housing.
Remove limit switch assembly by removing hardware and rotating the switch assembly.
Remove the o-ring (55).

Disconnect the coil power wires from the terminal strip
Remove the four socket head cap screws and lockwashers

6 Monthly Linear Electric Actuator Lubrication
Initial Inspection
Remove the pipe plug (23) located in the side of the housing (1)
Inspect the lubricant for proper consistency and quality
Post Inspection Actions
Is the lubricant level low or visibly contaminated?
Replace the pipe plug tightly after inspection
Further Inspection (if necessary)
Describe the cause of low or contaminated lubricant

Preparation
Disconnect all electrical power to actuator
Remove the position limit switch compartment cover (51)
Remove the motor pipe plug (100)
Actuator Shaft Adjustment
Rotate the shaft clockwise to extend the actuator shaft
Adjust rotor (#36-1) contact fingers
Clevis Pin Retraction and Second Rotor Adjustment
Retract the clevis pin by rotating the motor shaft counterclockwise
