Andco Actuators Linear Electric Actuator 7210T

Disconnect all electrical power before removing covers of either position or thrust switch compartments.

Ensure service personnel are licensed/trained and authorized.

Disconnect and mark leads on the geared position limit switch and thrust switch.

Remove pipe plug (23) to allow vent air into the housing.

Remove limit switch assembly by removing hardware and rotating the switch assembly.

Remove o-ring (55) and thrust switch assembly.

Disconnect all electrical power to the actuator

Wear approved Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)

Ensure service personnel are licensed/trained and authorized

Use assistance when moving or lifting to avoid injury

Remove the position and torque limit switch compartment covers

Disconnect the electrical power leads to the motor

Remove the four fasteners retaining motor end bell and stator

Ensure no motor control cards are present

Select the voltage setting for the appropriate motor voltage

Set the test equipment to the selected voltage

Contact each test point with the test equipment ground wire on the gear case plate

Verify the actuator withstands the applied voltage for one second per test point without breakdown

Note on motor power circuits testing

Test motor power circuits based on motor voltage (AC)

Apply DC voltage at 1.414 times the specified AC voltage for dielectric strength tests

Refer to wiring diagram for test points

Disconnect all electrical power to actuator

Remove the position limit switch compartment cover (51)

Remove the motor pipe plug (100)

Rotate the shaft clockwise to extend the actuator shaft

Are the rotor (#36-1) contact fingers closed?

Adjust rotor (#36-1) contact fingers

Push and turn the slotted shaft '1' clockwise until the rotor turns to open the contacts

Disconnect all electrical power to the actuator

Ensure surface is cool before proceeding

Remove the brake cover from the motor end bell

Disconnect the coil power wires from the terminal strip

Install the brake assembly by reversing the removal procedure
