1 Daily Tumble Dryer Maintenance
Pre-operation Inspection
Inspect the area surrounding tumble dryers and remove all combustible materials, including lint.
Check cylinder for foreign objects.
Lint Compartment Cleaning
Open the lint panel or lint drawer (for stack models).
Remove all accumulated lint in the lint compartment area and lightly brush any remaining lint on the lint screen.
Is the lint screen torn?
Ensure the lint screen completely covers the opening in the lint screen panel.
Wipe lint off of the cabinet high limit thermostat and thermistor.
Gas Burner Air Shutter Adjustment
Safety Precautions
Disconnect electric power to the tumble dryer before servicing.
Close gas shut-off valve to gas tumble dryer before servicing.
Close steam valve to steam tumble dryer before servicing.
Ensure all guards/panels are in place before starting the tumble dryer.
Reconnect all ground wires removed during servicing to ensure proper grounding.

Remove all lint from lint compartments and lint screen.

Pre-Check Warnings and Requirements
Ensure main supplies of electricity and water to the tumble dryer are on at all times.
Verify that all plumbing connections are made by a qualified professional.
Confirm that water supply requirements are met: 3/4 inch hose connections, 15 gpm minimum flow, water pressure 20 psi minimum, 120 psi maximum, water temperature 40°F minimum, 120°F maximum.
Water Supply and Temperature Check
Record the current water pressure in psi.
Is the water pressure between 20 psi and 120 psi?
Record the current water temperature in °F.
Is the water temperature between 40°F and 120°F?
6 Monthly Tumble Dryer Maintenance
Hardware and Connections Inspection
Check for loose components
Steam Filter and Panel Maintenance
Is the steam filter dirty?
Replace steam filter if dirty
Remove all front panels and vacuum, including coin drop mechanisms
Seal and Panel Inspection
Check cylinder and front panel seals
Describe any damage to cabinet and inner panels
3 Monthly Tumble Dryer Fire Suppression System Testing
Pre-Test Preparations
Is the auxiliary alarm output connected to a separate alarm system?
Disconnect the auxiliary alarm output if connected to a separate alarm system.
Remove any lint from the lint compartment.
Ensure temperature sensors are free of lint.
Fire Suppression System Test
Place a load of dry towels in the tumble dryer.
Ensure the cylinder baffles are to the left and right of the spray manifold.
Unlock the fire suppression system control box.
