Clean burner tubes using water and a brush

Cylinder and Lint Area Maintenance

Use a vacuum to clean lint from area around rear seal and idler assembly

Check for wear around rear seal and idler assembly

Check all hoses for visible signs of deterioration

Disconnect electric power to the tumble dryer before servicing.

Close gas shut-off valve to gas tumble dryer before servicing.

Close steam valve to steam tumble dryer before servicing.

Ensure all guards/panels are in place before starting the tumble dryer.

Reconnect any removed ground wires to ensure proper grounding of the tumble dryer.

Check for potential issues affecting airflow switch operation

Is the airflow switch operating properly?

Is the auxiliary alarm output connected to a separate alarm system?

Disconnect the auxiliary alarm output if connected to a separate alarm system.

Remove any lint from the lint compartment.

Ensure temperature sensors are free of lint.

Place a load of dry towels in the tumble dryer.

Ensure the cylinder baffles are to the left and right of the spray manifold.

Unlock the fire suppression system control box.

Ensure main supplies of electricity and water to the tumble dryer are on at all times.

Verify that the water dispensing system is not activated.

Measure the water pressure at the supply line (must be between 20 psi [138 kPa] and 120 psi [827 kPa]).

Check the water temperature at the supply line (must be between 40°F [4.5°C] and 120°F [49°C]).

Is the water supply line protected from freezing temperatures?

Confirm that electric power to the tumble dryer is provided at all times.

Remove external duct and duct access covers, if present.

Clean inside of duct with a vacuum.

Clean dampers and ensure they operate freely.

Replace duct and all access covers before returning tumble dryer to operation.

Ensure even lint distribution over lint screen.

Carefully wipe any accumulated lint off the cabinet high limit thermostat and thermistor, including perforated cover.

Clean lint and debris buildup from blower to maintain proper airflow.
