Set the thermostat to call for heat

System begins normal sequence of operation

Observe LED for fast flash indicating the gas valve is powered after approximately 30 seconds

Verify the gas valve closes after 10 seconds and repeats two additional times before locking out

Check for two flashes on the LED indicating the gas valve is locked out

De-energize the thermostat call for heat to restart the system

Follow the operating instructions under 'Unit Start-Up'

Check all wiring for loose connections

Enter the voltage at the unit (unit operating)

Ensure all tools are removed from the inspection area

Is the inspection area clean and free of debris?

Verify thermostat calls for heat

Check if combustion air inducer starts immediately

Combustion Air Pressure Switch Verification

Verify combustion air pressure switch proves inducer operation

Ensure no adjustment is necessary for the factory-set switch

Ignition and Gas Valve Operation

Record prepurge duration in seconds

Check if spark ignition is energized and solenoid valves open

Examine burner flames for proper appearance during the heating season

Examine burners for any deposits or blockage

Turn off both electrical and gas supplies to unit

Disconnect gas supply piping, high tension and sensor leads

Remove gas manifold and burner tray

Measure gas line pressure with unit firing at maximum rate

Is the gas line pressure within the required range?

Refer to figures 8, 9, and 10 for gas pressure adjustment screw location

Was the manifold pressure adjusted to the specified values?

Verify if a natural gas to LP/propane gas changeover kit is required
