Ensure a natural gas to LP/propane gas changeover kit is available
Refer to installation instructions provided with changeover kit for conversion procedure
Safety Shut-Off Valve Inspection
Initial Setup
Turn off the manual gas valve
Set the thermostat to call for heat
System Operation Check
Did the system begin normal sequence of operation?
Wait for approximately 30 seconds (pre purge period)
Is the LED fast flashing indicating the gas valve is powered?
Gas Valve Cycling
Wait for 10 seconds
Flue Passageway And Flue Box Maintenance
Preparation
Turn off both electrical and gas supply to unit
Disconnect combustion air inducer wiring
Flue Box Removal and Cleaning
Remove screws securing flue box to unit
Remove flue box
Was it necessary to remove blower assembly from flue box?
Clean flue box with wire brush
Flue Baffles Cleaning
Burner Maintenance
Burner Flame Examination
Examine burner flames for proper appearance during the heating season
Pre-Heating Season Inspection
Examine burners for any deposits or blockage
Burner Cleaning Procedure
Turn off both electrical and gas supplies to unit
Disconnect gas supply piping, high tension and sensor leads
Remove gas manifold
Remove burner tray
Combustion Air Inducer Check
Preparation
Disconnect power supply
Inspection and Cleaning
Inspect the combustion air inducer for any visible damage or wear
Clean the inducer wheel with a small brush
Post-Inspection
Is the combustion air inducer free of debris and functioning properly?
