Initial 24 Hours Belt Tension Check
Belt Tension Adjustment
Loosen six nuts (top and bottom) A
Adjust by turning (B)
Ensure nuts (C) are not loosened
Use belt tension checker to apply perpendicular force and obtain 4mm deflection distance
Record the deflection force applied
Re-tighten nuts (A) after adjustment
Belt Tension Verification
Enter the number of times belt tension was checked in the first 24 hours
Joints Leaks Check
Safety Precautions
Ensure no open flames are present in the area.
Use only approved pipe dope for assembling pipes.
Gas Connection and Leak Test
Open the main shut-off valve to admit normal gas pressure to the mains.
Check all joints for leaks using a soap solution or other suitable material.
Were any leaks detected during the inspection?
Post-Inspection
Close the main shut-off valve if leaks were detected.
Manifold Gas Pressure Maintenance
Preparation
Turn off all power to the unit
Connect a manometer to the outlet pressure port on the gas valve
Remove plastic cap covering HI and LO pressure adjustment screws
Second Stage Pressure Adjustment
Turn on power to the unit
Set thermostat to call for second stage heat and start furnace
Adjust second stage adjustment screw to set manifold pressure
Is the second stage manifold pressure within 3.5 IWG ± 0.3?
Burner and Orifice Inspection
Ensure main manual shut-off valve is closed and all power to the unit is shut off
Open the union fitting just upstream of the unit gas valve and downstream from the main manual shut-off valve in the gas supply line
Remove the screws holding each end of the manifold to the manifold supports
Disconnect wiring to the gas valves and spark igniters
Remove the manifold & gas valve assembly
Inspect and/or replace orifices
Remove the heat shield on top of the manifold supports
Inspect and/or replace burners
Ensure burners are level and seat at the rear of the gas orifice
Blower Rotation Check
Initial Inspection
Check for proper compressor rotation
Verify blower rotation direction
Electrical Connection Check
Inspect electrical connection for misphasing
Change the phasing of the Field Line Connection if necessary
Scroll Compressor Check
Check if the scroll compressor is drawing low amperage
Check for similar suction and discharge pressures
