Shaft Grounding Brush Inspection

Check the condition of the shaft grounding brush

Is the brush at the end of its useful life?

Replace the brush with another of the same specification if necessary

Verify if the motor has an internal grounding brush (check for label on the product)

Perform grounding brush check during bearing or internal motor part maintenance

Transport, Storage, and Handling

Store motor in a clean, dry, dust-free location free of vibrations, gases, and corrosive agents.

Is the relative humidity in the storage area not exceeding 60%?

Is the heating resistor on to avoid water condensation inside the motor?

Manually rotate the motor shaft at least once a month, making at least 5 turns.

Leave the motor shaft in a different position after rotating.

2 - Transport, Storage, and Handling

Store motor horizontally with ISO VG 68 oil in the bearing

Check the quantity of ISO VG 68 oil as per the manual

Rotate the shaft manually once a week

Relubricate bearings for motors stored over six months

Check grease amount on the nameplate before operation

Measure the motor's insulation resistance

Check the recommended values and measurement procedures on the website

Ensure motors are protected from accidental starts

Run the motor unloaded to check rotation direction

Ensure the rotor is locked before performing operations on terminals

Check the proper functioning of motor accessories
