Flow Cell Removal
Precautions
Wear clean, chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves
Prevent scratching of the flow cell parts
Use a clean, lint-free cloth or similar clean surface in the work area
Replace the flow cell gaskets when cleaning, rebuilding, or replacing other flow cell components

Power-off the detector and disconnect the power cord
Flow Cell Maintenance
Preparation
Ensure eluents are well-degassed and flowing before powering on the detector.
Flushing Phase
Perform flushing of the flow cell.
Was flushing effective?
Removing and Cleaning Phase
Remove the flow cell for cleaning.
Clean the flow cell thoroughly.
Replace flow cell components as required
Lamp Replacement
Lamp Replacement Procedure
Check if the detector lamp fails to ignite repeatedly
Check if the detector fails to calibrate
Power-off the detector
Wait for 10 seconds
Power-on the detector
Invoke the lamp optimization software routine

Allow the lamp to cool for 30 minutes before removing it
Keep the lamp in the housing when handling the lamp

Wear eye protection that filters ultraviolet light

Extinguish the lamp using the keypad by pressing <Shift> <Lamp> and then pressing <Shift> <Lamp> again
Allow the lamp to cool for at least 30 minutes after extinguishing
