Limit Switch Replacement
Removing the Old Limit Switches
Turn each retaining bolt slightly clockwise using pliers or vice grips
Pull out on the bolts to expose the nuts
Unthread the nuts completely
Slide the black plastic retaining plate off the bolts and cam shaft
Removing the Wires and Old Switches
Note where the wires are attached to the existing limit switches
Remove the wires from the limit switch terminals
Slide the 4 switches off the retaining bolts
Open / Close Limit Adjustment
Preparation
Remove the black plastic cover from the opener to access the Limit Assembly
Limit Cam Adjustment
Identify the limit cams and their screws
Loosen the Set Screw for large adjustments
Use the Fine Tune Adjustment Screw for small adjustments (12” of door travel or less)
Did you rotate the Open Limit Cam clockwise to decrease door travel?
Did you rotate the Open Limit Cam counterclockwise to increase door travel?
Did you rotate the Close Limit Cam counter-clockwise to decrease door travel?
Speed Adjustment
Preparation
Ensure the control box is powered on
Verify that the initial door limits have been set
Speed Adjustment
Record the current speed setting on the VFD
Adjust the speed setting using the UP arrow to increase or DOWN arrow to decrease
Is the desired speed setting achieved?
Post-Adjustment
Reset the door limits after speed adjustment
3 Monthly Roll Up Door Maintenance
Grease Zerk Bearings
Grease all zerk bearings on the shaftline with lithium grease
Ensure grease pushes through the bearing
Weatherstrip Inspection
Check all brush seal or vinyl seal on the vertical tracks for damage or air gaps
Inspect top rubber seal for proper sealing against the vinyl of the door
Strap Inspection (Premium Model Only)
Perform visual inspection of the counterweight strap for wear or fraying
Remove PVC guide tube if necessary to inspect the strap
Counterweight Strap Replacement
Preparation
Remove the PVC guide tube by pulling out on the bottom of the tube and sliding it down off the weight stack with the door in the closed position.
Ensure no personnel are in the way and the weights will not hit or hang up on any obstruction when the door is opened.
Place the door in the open position.
Turn power off to the door control box.
Ensure the emergency release ropes are in the 'engaged' position and the door is locked in place.
Strap Removal
Remove the 3 bolts running between the stainless steel guide disks on the Strapeze assembly.
Lift the strap up from between the guide disks and slide it off the shaft.
