Lamp Replacement
Pre-replacement Safety Measures
Power off the 2996 Detector and disconnect the power cord
Wait for the lamp to cool for at least 15 minutes
Lamp Removal
Lift up the front panel cover and pull it away from the chassis
Open lamp secure panel
Use a slotted head screwdriver to unscrew the two mounting screws
Grip the metal base of the lamp, pull the lamp out, and set it aside

Safety and Preparation
Ensure the following materials are available
Wear powder-free gloves to prevent lens contamination
Disassembly of Lens Holder Assembly
Use the TORX T10 screwdriver to remove the three screws securing one lens holder assembly
Use the small, flat-blade screwdriver to gently pry the lens assembly from the flow cell body at the slots
Cleaning and Gasket Removal
Use a lens tissue or a nonparticulating swab to wipe the lens with methanol
Remove and discard the gasket

Flush the flow cell
Remove the flow cell
Disassemble the flow cell
Clean the flow cell components

Fuse Replacement
Preparation
Power off the 2996 Detector and remove the power cord
Fuse Block Access
Locate the fuse block below the power cord plug on the rear panel
Squeeze the two side clips on the fuse block while pulling out the block
Fuse Replacement
Remove the fuses from the block
Install the new fuses
Reassembly

Preparation
Ensure all required materials are available
Set the flow to 0.0 mL/min
Power off the solvent delivery system or pump
Fluidic Line Disconnection
Ensure system is vented to avoid leaking mobile phase
Use the 5/16-inch wrench to disconnect the fluidic lines at the front of the detector
Flow Cell Removal
Lift up the 2996 detector front cover and pull the front cover from the detector chassis
