2 Weekly Tire Inflation Pressure Check
Warning: Incorrect tire inflation pressure may result in reduced fuel economy, reduced driving comfort and poor handling, reduced tire life due to wear, reduced safety, and damage to the drive train.
Instructions: Check only when the tires are cold. Always use a tire pressure gauge. It is normal for the tire inflation pressure to be higher after driving. Do not reduce tire inflation pressure after driving. Never exceed the vehicle capacity weight.

6 Monthly Vehicle Interior Cleaning
Perform cleaning in a manner appropriate to each component and its material.
Protecting the vehicle interior
Remove dirt and dust using a vacuum cleaner. Wipe dirty surfaces with a cloth dampened with lukewarm water.
If dirt cannot be removed, wipe it off with a soft cloth dampened with neutral detergent diluted to approximately 1%.
Wring out any excess water from the cloth and thoroughly wipe off remaining traces of detergent and water.
■Shampooing the carpets
There are several commercial foaming-type cleaners available. Use a sponge or brush to apply the foam.
Rub in overlapping circles. Do not use water. Wipe dirty surfaces and let them dry. Excellent results are obtained by keeping the carpet as dry as possible.
■Handling the seat belts

Brake Fluid Check
Warning: Brake fluid can harm your hands and eyes and damage painted surfaces. Use only newly opened brake fluid.
Is the brake fluid level between the “MAX” and “MIN” lines on the tank?
Adding fluid steps
Slide and lift up the rubber strip to partly remove it.
Disconnect the claws and remove the service cover.
Remove the reservoir cap.
Add brake fluid slowly while checking the fluid level.
Notice: It is normal for the brake fluid level to go down slightly as the brake pads wear out or when the fluid level in the accumulator is high.
Does the reservoir need frequent refilling?
Coolant Check
Warning: Do not remove the engine/power control unit coolant reservoir caps when the hybrid system is hot.
Coolant level in the reservoir
Is the coolant level between the “FULL” and “LOW” lines?
Coolant selection
U.S.A.: “Toyota Super Long Life Coolant” is a mixture of 50% coolant and 50% deionized water. (Minimum temperature: -31°F [-35°C])
Canada: “Toyota Super Long Life Coolant” is a mixture of 55% coolant and 45% deionized water. (Minimum temperature: -44°F [-42°C])
Did the coolant level drop within a short time of replenishing?
