Blower Bearing Lubrication
Preparation
Ensure the following conditions are met before lubrication
Lubrication Process
Is the application in a high temperature environment requiring special grease?
Select the type of grease to be used
Use a hand-operated grease gun at no more than 40 psi
Is it possible to lubricate the blower bearings while the blower is running?
Enter the number of grease shots applied (1-2 recommended)
Did a slight bead of grease appear at the bearing seals?
Blower Shaft and Bearing Replacement
Preparation
Lock out the power source to the motor and let the wheel come to a complete stop.
Disconnect the inlet and/or discharge duct work from the blower, if necessary.
Disassembly
Remove the inlet side of the blower housing.
Measure and record the location of the blower wheel on the shaft.
Remove the locking hardware in the wheel hub and carefully remove the wheel.
Remove guards and loosen components
Remove the belt(s) and blower sheave.
