Ensure all safety guards are properly attached and fully functional

Is the power to the blower turned off and locked-out if any guards are defective?

Inspect accessories for proper function within intended limits and design specifications

Refer to manufacturer's maintenance manuals for correct maintenance procedures

Have all defective parts been repaired or replaced and inspected by authorized personnel?

Ensure the following conditions are met before lubrication

Is the blower running during lubrication?

Enter the number of grease shots applied

Was a hand-operated grease gun used at no more than 40 psi?

Did a slight bead of grease appear at the bearing seals?

Is the grease type compatible with the existing grease in the bearings?

Inspect airstream components for wear or structural damage

Is there any abrasion or corrosion on the blower parts?

Is the wheel unbalanced causing excessive vibration?

Inspect if the wheel needs rebalancing or replacement

Select the method for balancing the blower wheel

Turn off and lock out power to the motor before starting any work.

Inspect and replace if necessary

Remove belt guard and open shaft access holes.

Remove protective coating from blower and motor shafts.

Adjust motor on slide base for belt tension adjustment.

Loosen 4 nuts securing motor feet on slide base.

Secure blower wheel to prevent wind milling

Consultation for Operating Condition Changes

Are there any changes to the operating conditions (speed, pressure, temperature, etc.)?

If yes, consult Cincinnati Fan or local sales office for safety confirmation

Check that all blower and foundation hardware is tight
