Secure blower wheel to prevent wind milling

Consultation for Operating Condition Changes

Check Blower and Foundation Hardware

Tighten Set Screws or Taper-Lock Bushing Bolts

Ensure the following conditions are met before lubrication

Is the application high temperature requiring Dow Corning DC44 grease?

Use a hand-operated grease gun with a maximum pressure of 40 psi

Is the blower running during lubrication?

Enter the number of grease shots applied (1-2 recommended)

Check for slight bead of grease at the bearing seals

Ensure no over greasing has occurred

Ensure all routine maintenance is completed

Are there major differences compared to initial startup readings?

Identify potential causes of vibration problems

Describe the corrective actions taken

Inspect airstream components for wear or structural damage

Is there any abrasion or corrosion on the blower parts?

Was the blower wheel cleaned properly?

Select the method for balancing the blower wheel

If grinding, was care taken not to grind too much in one area?

Ensure power to the motor is turned off and locked out before starting any work.

Inspect and replace any worn or damaged sheaves, bearings, or shafts while power is off.

Remove belt guard and open shaft access holes.

Remove protective coating from blower and motor shafts.

Use adjustable motor slide base for belt tension adjustment.

Adjust motor on slide base by turning adjustment bolt(s) to move motor close to blower.
