Ensure power to the motor is turned off and locked out before starting any work.

Inspect and replace any worn or damaged sheaves, bearings, or shafts while power is off.

Remove belt guard and open shaft access holes.

Remove protective coating from blower and motor shafts.

Use adjustable motor slide base for belt tension adjustment.

Adjust motor on slide base by turning adjustment bolt(s) to move motor closer to blower.

Ensure the following conditions are met before lubrication

Is the blower running during lubrication?

Enter the number of grease shots applied

Was a hand-operated grease gun used at no more than 40 psi?

Did a slight bead of grease appear at the bearing seals?

Is the grease type compatible with the existing grease in the bearings?

Secure blower wheel to prevent wind milling

Consultation for operating condition changes

Check all blower and foundation hardware for tightness

Tighten all set screws or taper-lock bushing bolts to specified torque values

Replace any loose set screws with knurled, cup-point set screws with a nylon locking patch

Inspect for wear or structural damage

Clean blower parts if necessary

Select the method for balancing the blower wheel

Ensure grinding does not affect structural integrity (for cast aluminum wheels)

Ensure balance weights are rigidly attached and do not interfere with blower housing (for fabricated wheels)

Ensure balancing clips are properly attached to individual blades (for forward curved wheels)

Ensure all safety guards are properly attached and fully functional

Is the power to the blower turned off and locked-out if any guards are defective?

Inspect accessories for proper function within intended limits and design specifications

Refer to manufacturer's maintenance manuals for correct maintenance procedures

Have all defective parts been repaired or replaced and inspected by authorized personnel?
