Ensure the following conditions are met before lubrication

Is the blower running during lubrication?

Enter the number of grease shots applied (1-2 recommended)

Was a hand-operated grease gun used at no more than 40 psi?

Did a slight bead of grease appear at the bearing seals?

Is the grease type compatible with the existing grease in the bearings?

Lock out the power source to the motor and let the wheel come to a complete stop.

Disconnect the inlet and/or discharge duct work from the blower, if necessary.

Remove the inlet side of the blower housing.

Measure and record the location of the blower wheel on the shaft.

Remove the locking hardware in the wheel hub.

Blower Shaft and Bearing Disassembly

Secure blower wheel to prevent wind milling

Consultation for Operating Condition Changes

Blower and Foundation Hardware Check

Set Screws and Taper-Lock Bushing Bolts

Tighten set screws or taper-lock bushing bolts to torque values in Tables 2 and 3

Ensure all routine maintenance is completed before taking vibration readings.

Record the current vibration readings.

Are the current vibration readings significantly different from the initial startup readings in Table 4?

Identify potential causes of vibration problems

Describe the corrective actions taken if any major differences in vibration readings were found.

Inspect for wear or structural damage

Is there any abrasion or corrosion present?

Replace any worn or damaged components

Select the method for balancing the blower wheel
