Blower Shaft and Bearing Replacement
Preparation
Lock out the power source to the motor and let the wheel come to a complete stop.
Disconnect the inlet and/or discharge duct work from the blower, if necessary.
Disassembly
Remove the inlet side of the blower housing.
Measure and record the location of the blower wheel on the shaft.
Remove the locking hardware in the wheel hub and carefully remove the wheel.
Remove guards and loosen components
Remove the belt(s) and blower sheave.

Ensure blower is turned off
Lock out power to the blower
Secure blower wheel to prevent wind milling
Consultation for Operating Condition Changes
Are there any changes to the operating conditions (speed, pressure, temperature, etc.)?
If yes, describe the changes
Consult Cincinnati Fan or local sales office for safety verification

Preparation
Ensure the following conditions are met before lubrication

Is the blower running during lubrication?
Enter the number of grease shots applied
Was a slight bead of grease observed at the bearing seals?
Was Dow Corning DC44 high temperature grease used for high temperature applications?
Post-Lubrication Check
Check for over greasing signs (e.g., bearings running hot)

Preparation
Ensure motor is turned off and locked out
Verify the type of grease compatible with the motor
Lubrication Process
Identify motors with grease fittings
Enter the motor horsepower
Enter the motor speed (RPM)
Is the motor service heavy duty?
Replace grease plugs with grease fittings if necessary
