Pull air filter(s) from the front panel

Wash the dust and grease off the filter

Return the filter to its original position

Was the machine operated without the filter in place?

Contact a refrigeration technician to clean the condenser fins

Ensure the machine is not operated without the filter in place except during cleaning

Remove all ice from the storage bin or dispenser

Push and release the Clean button

Is the code display blinking 'A d 1'?

Pour Scotsman Clear 1 ice machine scale remover into the reservoir

Repeat steps 4-6 if significant mineral scale remains

Mix a cleaning solution of 1 oz of ice machine scale remover to 12 ounces of water

Remove evaporator cover and curtain

Rotate the bridge thickness adjustment screw

Ensure bridge thickness is not too thin

Power up the machine and check ice harvest

Gather cleaning materials (stainless steel cleaner, clean water, cloths)

Ensure the cleaner does not contain chlorine

Clean the front panel with stainless steel cleaner

Clean the top panel with stainless steel cleaner

Clean the side panels with stainless steel cleaner

If chlorine-based cleaner was used, wash panels with clean water to remove residue

Check the following for the filter cartridges

Have the cartridges been installed for more than 6 months?

Enter the pressure reading on the gauge

Is the pressure drop significant when the ice machine fills with water?

Replace the filter cartridges if necessary
