Rice Lake Low Profile Floor Scale HP

Refer to the indicator manual for correct calibration procedures.

Exercise the scale by loading it to near capacity two or three times.

Ensure no load is on the scale.

Place the indicator in its calibration mode.

Enter the test weight value used for calibration (70% - 80% of scale's capacity).

Ensure all tools are available, including a pry bar and spirit level.

Verify that the scale is clean and free from any obstructions.

Adjust each scale foot by hand until all feet are contacting the floor equally.

Did you use Teflon tape or Loctite to secure the feet?

Ensure no scale foot is bottoming out against the underside of the load cell.

Check that no foot stem is damaged by bending or stripping threads.

Identify the correct load cell terminal for each corner (CELL 1, CELL 2, etc.)

Refer to Figure 4-4 on page 15 for scale deck corner numbering

Connect and approximately calibrate the indicator

Enter the test weight (25% of scale capacity)

Zero the indicator with no weight on the scale

Lift scale with chains and proper spreader bar

Disconnect load cell cable from junction box

Pull cable out of the scale frame channels

For Canadian HC models, loosen overload stops two full turns before installing new load cells

Ensure the scale is turned off before cleaning

Verify that the load cells are hermetically sealed

Clean the following areas to prevent debris build up

Use care with high pressure steam wash downs for hermetically-sealed load cells

Check for any water damage on non-hermetically sealed load cells

Allow the unit to cool to room temperature before use
