Ensure the nut holding the stem of the pressure compensator is not loosened
Ensure the hole in the stem is not blocked
Avoid blowing pressurised air into the hole
Oil Seal Replacement
Preliminary Safety Measures
Ensure the power supply is disconnected
Lock out the power supply and tag it to prevent unexpected application of power
Verify that the working area is free from hot oil and reducers
Seal Replacement Procedure
Remove the worn seal without damaging the shaft surface or the seal bore
Drill a 0.062" diameter hole in the seal casing and remove the seal using a #10 sheet metal screw
Clean the seal bore of sealant
Cover any keyways on the shaft with electrical tape before installing the new seal
