Inspect hook fixing block, gears, bearings, chain stop ball, and hook retainer for wear, corrosion, cracks, or distortion

Inspect lift-wheel for damage or excessive wear

Check chain guide for wear or burring where the chain enters the hoist

Inspect brake parts for excessive wear

Check control station push buttons for free operation and proper spring back

Have the gears been removed from the housing?

Have the housings, lift-wheel, or sheave wheel been degreased?

Apply grease to the gears if they have been removed from the housing.

Apply lithium grease to the bearings if the housings, lift-wheel, or sheave wheel have been degreased.

Ensure all components are properly lubricated.
