Ensure all necessary tools are available

Verify that the replacement feet assemblies are on hand

Remove the existing feet assemblies from the base

Check that all parts of the bearing assembly are removed

Assemble the bearing assembly components in the correct order

Ensure the curved edge of the load bearing plate faces inward and towards the front of the balance

Enter the service menu and adjust settings

Record Auto Zero Tracking Setting

Test Procedure for Non-Approved Models

Warm up the balance for 60 minutes

Record the reading after placing a mass near maximum capacity on the center of the Pan

Verify the display returns to 0g ±1d after removing the mass

Repeat the test three times and ensure readings are within ±1d

Use a broad blade to remove the label from a corner

Ensure not to cut into the plastic Housing or yourself

Wear eye protection while using a knife

Clean the glue residue from the Housing surface

Use a section of the adhesive on the removed label to pick up remaining adhesive

Use knife or fingers to roll up remaining adhesive

If adhesive smears, use a cotton cloth to pick up as much as possible

Test solvent on inside of Housing to ensure no damage to plastic

Ensure the balance has passed the Precision and Repeatability Tests

Calibrate the balance before performing the Linearity Test

Record the weight of the Reference Mass on the Balance

Place Load 1 on the Balance and press TARE

Record the weight of the test mass on the Balance after placing Load 1

Place Load 2 on the Balance and press TARE

Record the weight of the test mass on the Balance after placing Load 2
