Ohaus Explorer Balances EX35001

Open the balance and verify no mechanical interference, pinched wire, or bad solder connection

Turn the base on its side and remove the 3 screws holding the Load Cell to the Base

Hold the load cell with one hand when unscrewing the last screw to prevent it from falling out

Turn the base back on its feet ensuring the load cell does not fall out

Remove all cables connecting the load cell to the PCB and lift the load cell out from the housing

Reverse the disassembly procedure to assemble the balance

Ensure no foreign material between the Base mounting surfaces and the Load cell

Connect a functioning Power Adapter to the balance

Plug the Power Cord into a suitable power source

Verify that the balance start up sequence occurs properly

Remove the Terminal Main PCBA and the LC Display

Remove the Terminal top housing

Install the new Terminal top housing

Pan and Sub Pan Inspection and Cleaning

Remove the Pan and Sub Pan to inspect the area beneath the Pan

Clean the outside of the balance using a damp cloth with warm water

Check the Power Cord for broken or damaged insulation

Make a visual inspection for faulty connectors, wiring, and loose hardware

Ensure the balance is warmed up for 60 minutes

Enter the mass weight placed on the center of the Pan

Record the reading after placing the mass

Remove the mass and verify the reading returns to 0g ±1d

Repeat the test three times and record each reading
