Place a thermometer thermocouple or a reliable mercury oven type thermometer at the center of the middle rack.

Check mark

Turn the dial of the cook thermostat to a temperature setting of 350°F.

Check mark

Wait for the red heat indicator light to switch off when the thermostat turns off the burner.

Allow three (3) burner on/off cycles for the temperature to stabilize.

Read the pyrometer or thermometer immediately after the “HEAT” light goes off for the third time and again immediately after the “HEAT” light comes on the next time.

Is the average reading and the dial setting within 15°F?
