LCD Interface (Display) Board Replacement
Power Management
Turn the power off to the unit
Display Board Removal
Remove the display board cable connector from the control board
Slice each of the display board standoff heads off using a sharp utility knife
Pull the display board from the unit
Remove the display board cable connector from the back of the display board
New Display Board Installation
Place a new display board standoff into each of the four holes in the cabinet
Compressor Replacement
Pump down the unit
Was there a compressor burn out?
Dispose of refrigerant according to local codes
Disconnect piping and remove crankcase heater
Replace the compressor and liquid line filter-dryer
Ensure nitrogen is flowing during brazing procedures
Vacuum the unit
If there was a compressor burnout, charge the unit with new refrigerant and operate for 2 hours
Pump down the unit and replace the filter-dryer
Compressor Maintenance
Pumpdown Procedure
Place the unit in SERVICE mode via the PC App or LCD interface
Ensure electrical power is not turned off at the breaker panel
Connect the refrigerant recovery unit to the heat pump’s internal service ports via a refrigeration charging manifold and to a recovery tank
Plan to dispose of refrigerant if there was a compressor burnout
Ensure refrigerant to water heat exchangers have full flow or are completely drained of fluid
Start circulation pumps via building control system if necessary
Ensure all hose connections are properly purged of air
Start the refrigerant recovery as per the instructions in the recovery unit manual
LCD Interface Check
Alarm and Fault Inspection
Check for alarms and faults on the LCD interface
Rectify problem if alarms are found
Compressor Service
General Repair Procedure
Ensure nitrogen is flowing through the system at the lowest flow rate during brazing procedures
Replace the liquid line filter-dryer if the refrigeration system has been exposed to the atmosphere
Place a wet rag around any valves being installed to protect non-metallic seats or seals
Aim the torch flame away from the valve body
Solder only one joint at a time and cool joints down in between
Pressure Testing
Enter the nitrogen pressure at 10 psig
Enter the nitrogen pressure at 25 psig
