Compressor Replacement
Pump down the unit
Was there a compressor burnout?
Dispose of refrigerant according to local codes
Disconnect piping and remove crankcase heater
Replace the compressor and liquid line filter-dryer
Ensure nitrogen is flowing during brazing
Vacuum the unit
Compressor Burnout Procedure
Charge the unit with new refrigerant and operate for 2 hours
Compressor Maintenance
Pumpdown Procedure
Place the unit in SERVICE mode via the PC App or LCD interface
Ensure electrical power is not turned off at the breaker panel
Connect the refrigerant recovery unit to the heat pump’s internal service ports via a refrigeration charging manifold and to a recovery tank
Plan to dispose of refrigerant if there was a compressor burnout
Ensure refrigerant to water heat exchangers have full flow or are completely drained of fluid
Start circulation pumps via building control system if necessary
Ensure all hose connections are properly purged of air
Start the refrigerant recovery as per the instructions in the recovery unit manual
LCD Interface Check

Control Board Replacement
Preparation
Turn the power off to the unit
Take a picture of the control board and connectors for reference
Removal of Old Control Board
Remove all green terminal strips on the left side, the right side, and the bottom of the control board
Remove the red six pin display board connector from the left side of the control board
Remove all connectors from the top of the control board
Remove the control board from its four corner standoffs
Remove any remaining standoffs if they have the bottom snap cut off
Refrigeration Unit Maintenance
Vacuuming Procedure
Release the nitrogen pressure
Connect the vacuum pump to the charging manifold
Start the vacuum pump and open the charging manifold valves
Monitor the vacuum gauge until it remains at less than 500 microns for at least 1 minute with the vacuum pump valve closed
Close the charging manifold valves
Shut off and disconnect the vacuum pump
Charging Procedure
Place a refrigerant tank with the proper refrigerant on a scale and connect it to the charging manifold
