Ensure the enclosing tube is tightened and the middle set screw is locked to the enclosing tube.

Is the control equipped with a pneumatic switch mechanism?

Loosen set screw(s) at base of switch housing.

Rotate switch housing to desired conduit entry position.

Tighten set screws at base of housing.

Unscrew and remove switch housing cover.

Inspect for excessive wear on actuating lever or misalignment of adjustment screw

Refer to switch mechanism bulletin if adjustment or replacement is necessary

Check for Defective or Maladjusted Switch Mechanisms

Ensure control is not operated with defective or maladjusted switch mechanisms

Check for brittle insulation on electrical wiring

Replace wiring at first sign of brittle insulation

Inspect the switch housing cover for damage or misplacement

Check for any damaged or missing seals

Ensure all seals are free from dirt and debris

Is the switch housing cover properly reinstalled?

Are all seals properly positioned and intact?

Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Unpack the instrument carefully

Report any concealed damage to carrier within 24 hours

Check the contents of the packing slip

Verify against the purchase order

Record the serial number for future reference

Ensure the instrument is used in Installation Category II, Pollution Degree 2.

Handle displacer spring and stem with care to avoid damage.

Displacer Adjustment and Installation

Adjust displacers on the cable for desired switch actuating levels.

Screw displacer cable fitting to the threaded connection link.

Ensure no obstacles in the tank or vessel interfere with displacer operation.

Determine if a guide pipe or tube is necessary due to liquid turbulence.
