Inspect for excessive wear on actuating lever or misalignment of adjustment screw

Inspect insulation on electrical wiring for brittleness or damage

Check all terminal connections for tightness of screws

Describe any loose terminal connections found

Ensure the instrument is used in Installation Category II, Pollution Degree 2.

Handle displacer spring and stem with care to avoid damage.

Displacer Adjustment and Installation

Adjust displacers on the cable for desired switch actuating levels.

Screw displacer cable fitting to the threaded connection link.

Ensure no obstacles in the tank or vessel interfere with displacer operation.

Is a guide pipe or tube necessary due to liquid turbulence?

Inspect the switch housing cover for any damage or misplacement

Check for any exposed wires or terminals

Ensure a positive seal on the switch housing

Is the switch housing cover properly reinstalled?

Is the seal intact and effective?

Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Unpack the instrument carefully

Report any concealed damage to carrier within 24 hours

Check the contents of the packing slip

Verify against the purchase order

Record the serial number for future reference

Ensure set screw is loosened before repositioning conduit connection

Verify pneumatic switch mechanism is not present

Ensure high temperature wire is used for applications above +250° F (+121° C)

Loosen set screw(s) at base of switch housing

Rotate switch housing to desired conduit entry position

Tighten set screws at base of housing
