Check for fractures in the cable casing

Inspect for twisting or binding within the casing

Check for frayed or exposed wire rope

Inspect for flattened sections of the cable

Check for permanently bent sections

Inspect for ends separating from the cable assembly

Inspect frames for wear and damage

Clean frame with a mild soap and water

Verify technician is Life Fitness certified

Ensure cable is threaded at least 1/2 inch (12.7mm) into termination points at headplate (A) and frame/carriage (B)

Check if model is equipped with a bayonet portal for thread engagement check

Attempt to pass a 7mm Allen wrench through the bayonet portal to check thread engagement

Tighten jam nut to 20-25 FT-LBS (27.2 - 34.0 Nm) using a 24mm wrench when proper thread engagement is reached

Check if cable tension is sufficient to keep it seated in the pulley without lifting the head plate

Loosen jam nuts and threaded plugs if head plate is lifted, until it rests on the weight plate below

Inspect all accessories, connecting links, and carabiner clips

Check anchors and re-tighten to 30 Foot-Pounds (Imperial) or 45Nm (Metric) if needed

Clean upholstery with an approved or compatible cleaner

Approved and Compatible Cleaners

Ensure PureGreen 24 was used for at least 2 minutes for general disinfection

Ensure Gym Wipes were used for at least 2 minutes for general disinfection

Inspect insert within the strain-relief cable end assembly for any sign of damage

Check for excessive wear or damage

Is the plastic insert cracked, torn, separated, overly worn or damaged in any way?

Replace plastic insert if necessary
