3.7 Removing and Remounting the Pump Module

Ensure all required tools are available

Ensure all required spare parts are available

Drain the oil and remove the oil case (see Section 3.4)

Pull the entire pump module (13/2) forward off the tie rods (13/5)

Ensure individual pin-fitted parts are not loosened

Visually inspect the oil quality

Is an oil change required based on visual inspection?

Enter the neutralisation number according to DIN 51558

Is an oil change required based on chemical analysis?

Enter the dynamic viscosity at 25 °C

Is an oil change required based on mechanical analysis?

Refer to Section 3.8.1 for disposal of waste oil if an oil change is performed

Ensure all required tools and spare parts are available

Drain the oil (see Section 3.2)

Unscrew the four non-recessed hex. socket screws (11/5) and remove the motor (11/6)

Unscrew screw (12/2) and pull off the spring washer (12/3)

Ensure the oil level is between marks (9/2) and (9/3) at the oil-level glass.

Does the oil need to be changed?

Select the type of oil used for refill.

Refill oil only after the pump has been switched off.

Ensure the following precautions are taken

Remove the dirt trap from the intake port

Rinse the dirt trap with solvent

Dry the dirt trap with compressed air

Replace the dirt trap if defective
